A Summer Wedding at Lilleshall Hall

Kirsti & Jamie's July Church Wedding in Wolverhampton followed by reception at Lilleshall Hall

What can I say about this wedding?!?

Lots of emotion, lots of speeches and absolutely epic confetti!

The day started for me with Kirsti and her bridal party getting ready at The Mount Hotel in Tettenhall with the Church service just down the road at St Michael & All Angels. It should have been a short simple drive for Kirsti in her wedding car....which turned up late.... after the ceremony!

But not to worry. They'd also arranged for some friends to bring their classic VW campervan along for the bridesmaids so this was pressed into service to transport the Bride as well - crisis over!

After an emotional service and time in the churchyard for everyone to congratulate the newlyweds it was off to the reception in Shropshire at Lilleshall. The wedding car had now arrived, an open top classic VW (can you see the theme here!) Just before leaving they had a confetti walk with the most epic confetti I've ever seen, I mean EPIC!! My top tip if you want impressive confetti is to get some confetti canons

After a drive through the Shropshire countryside it was the drinks reception in the stunning grounds of Lilleshall. The view from the open air balcony of the gardens is beautiful. a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the day

Speeches after the meal is very much a wedding tradition. Speeches that last over an hour is perhaps a break from the norm! But everyone was engrossed with various family members and friends each taking a turn. There was even a short speech from their young daughter who had written a poem in honour of the day!

You lift my heart up, when the rest of me is down

You, you enchant me, even when you're not around

If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down

I’m latching on babe, now I know what I have found

To cap the day off we had a very emotional pre first dance song performed by Kirsti's Dad. Then the first dance itself was two and a half minutes of slow tempo, time alone on the dance-floor before (with some prior prompting) most of the guests launched themselves into action as the beat kicked in.

Epic, simply epic
