2nd Dance - My favourite Weddng images

People often tend to talk about the first dance at a wedding and I know that it's something couples either look forward to or dread!

It's become a very traditional part of the day with all your guests assembled to watch you trip the light fantastic around the dance-floor (sometimes!)

However, I often find that it's during the next dance that I get the better, more natural shots of the happy couple. By this time the other guests have normally been encouraged on to the dance-floor so the newlyweds can relax as they dance amongst a throng of people

As well as getting photographs of the guests I keep an eye on the Bride & Groom as you can see some lovely tender moments

Caroline & Karl's wedding was definitely of the vintage variety

Their reception was in a village hall which, with some help from their friends, they'd decorated with metres of bunting and long trestle tables

They had music from a 40s/50s trio and there was no white gown for Caroline but a wonderful 50s style floral print dress

Their first dance was 'All About You' by McFly, but sung in a 40s style by the trio!

Then, as their guests joined them on the dance-floor I saw this moment

As everyone danced around them you can just see the love and happiness on Karl's face as he looks into the eyes of his new wife.

I think he was gesturing that he wanted a kiss on the cheek and who can blame him, after all, it was their wedding day!!
