Malvern Spring Wedding with Churchfields Farm Reception

When I was first booked by Laura & Luke to photograph their wedding they were having the ceremony at the beautiful Elgar Rooms in Malvern followed by a tipi reception at a country pub

Not long had passed before they contacted me to say that their plans had been changed by the pub deciding to get rid of the tipi so they were having to look around for an alternative wedding reception venue. This might stress some people out but not Laura & Luke who set to work to find another venue for their wedding party

I have to say that they excelled themselves with their choice as they found themselves a Worcestershire dairy farm for their wedding party, with real live cows!!

It was such a wonderfully relaxed place for a wedding party in the farm cafe with an obligatory visit to the ice cream counter to sample some of the homemade frozen delights

The Bride & Groom got chance to go and visit some of the bovine residents during the afternoon and take in the country air! I think one or two of the cows were looking for an opportunity to sneak a tasty floral treat but Laura managed to keep her flowers out of reach

There is no greater love, Than what I feel for you No sweeter song, no heart so true There is no greater thrill, Than what you bring to me No sweeter song, Than what you sing, sing to me

If we rewind the clock a little the bridal preparations were at Hadley Bowling Green Inn, followed by a drive down to Malvern for the ceremony at the Elgar Rooms. After a stroll in the spring sunshine in Priory Park, outside the registry office, we headed back up north to the farm.

Neither of them were big fans of beer or wine so the venue had come up with some special wedding cocktails, served in handled glass jars for everyone when they arrived. After the stroll amongst the cows it was a time to eat with everyone visiting the ice cream counter for dessert.

I think that the children there (and one or two of the grown ups!) thought they were in heaven with an entire ice cream counter to choose from.....and it was free!!

So, if you're looking for somewhere just a little bit different for your wedding reception, and you like ice cream, then you really can't go wrong with a dairy farm :-)
