Lichfield Wedding Photography | Shelley & Nathan

Vintage cars, mega number of groomsmen, garden games....and extrajoss!!!

Can we get The Guiness Book of Records on the phone please

I'm not sure if they have an entry for most number of Groomsmen at a wedding but this one just has to be in contention with 15 of them - I think suit sales in Staffordshire have gone through the roof!!

Understandably, given that there were enough ushers for their own rugby team, Shelley & Nathan had asked me to arrange an additional photographer for their Staffordshire church wedding. So thank you to Claire from Poppy K Photography who followed the boys from prep, to pub to church before we all headed off the Old Schoolhouse near Lichfield for food, drink and music

I got my eyes on you

You're everything that I see

I want your hot love and emotion, endlessly

I can't get over you

You left your mark on me

With Claire photographing the boys I was with Shelley at her parents house, a relatively calm enclave as the hair and makeup artists did their thing.

If the couple exchange gifts on the morning of their wedding (via intermediaries of course) then it's likely that it might get a bit emotional, thank goodness for waterproof mascara. I'm not sure if the two of them were opening their gifts at the exact same time but there were similar reactions - emotional

The eagle-eyed amongst you might spot that the boys were looking at YouTube videos about how to tie a double windsor knot - they might have had a bit of online assistance but they all looked sharp!

Shelley's transport to the church was an amazing vintage Ford, lovingly restored by her Dad over many many years. A vintage car tends to have a vintage engine so no motorway for them, far more wise to stick to the A roads.

Even with a stop at the pub for the boys, everyone made it to the church on time and after the ceremony time to head off to the reception

What are Extrajoss I hear you ask?! Powdered Red Bull is the easiest way to describe them, apparently downed with a shot is the way to have them!!

I'm really luck that I get to photograph weddings all over the place. So if you're getting married in Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire or anywhere else then please get in touch!!
