Torrential rain and a vintage bus with a slow puncture didn't get in the way of a magical day full of love and proper belly laugh speeches!!

Having two young children we're always visiting soft play areas and a favourite one is at Apley Farm, near Bridgnorth in Shropshire. Just down the road from there is The Hundred House Hotel and I've long hankered after shooting a wedding there.
Although you might not realise it from the front they have fabulous gardens at the rear including their own kitchen garden where they grow some of the produce for their restaurant. There is also the 'Secret Garden' that includes a Shropshire homage to Stonehenge!!
With a restored 17th century tithe barn I was intrigued to see what the day would hold, and it didn't disappoint :-)

What would I do without your smart mouth
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
Got my head spinning, no kidding, I can’t pin you down
What’s going on in that beautiful mind
I’m on your magical mystery ride
And I’m so dizzy, don’t know what hit me, but I’ll be alright
Shropshire Documentary Wedding Photographer
With a house full of Bridesmaids, siblings, parents, grandparents and the Best Man's girlfriend it's a good job that Beth had hired a vintage bus to get everyone from her parents house to the venue. When the bus arrived it turned out that it had a slow puncture which I'm pretty sure Beth was kept in the dark about, just to keep the stress levels down. But it wasn't enough to stop them making the journey across the Shropshire countryside from Shrewsbury to The Hundred House

Relaxed, authentic, documentary wedding photography
I think the Bride might have been fashionably late, but that is her perograitve isn't it? I didn't notice Andy looking at his watch....many times!!
After the 'I dos' it was outside for confetti and gardens games before the wedding breakfast and we almost managed to avoid the rain. But, just as people were making their way across the courtyard to sit down to eat, the heavens opened and BOY OH BOY, did it rain!!

After speeches that included more than their share of 'Groom Roasting' there was a close up magician, a horsebox photoboothand dancing
