We're late, we're late, for a very important date - My favourite images

Ok, so I'm misquoting the lyrics there of the song in the Disney film but this image really struck me as having an Alice in Wonderland feel about it

The wedding was at Grafton Manor in the Worcestershire countryside, not too far from Bromsgrove. It's a 16th Century Elizabethan Manor House which is now run as a country house hotel. You can get married in the John Morris Hall which used to be a chapel and it still has many ecclesiastical features

Having got ready in one of the bedrooms Jenny, as is her prerogative, was running slightly behind schedule (I'm not going to say she was late!)

With her Dad by her side she headed out of the hotel and round the corner towards the entrance to the wedding hall

That was the moment that I took this photograph

Bride rushing to her wedding at Grafton Manor

I think her Dad had been fretting a little that they were going to be late and of course couldn't resist glancing at his wristwatch to check the time.

Capturing these little moments is what documentary wedding photography is all about. Each one add to the next to tell the story of the day without the need for any posing or contrived shots

If you're looking at getting married in Worcestershire then keep your eyes peeled for one of my next blogs which will feature a selection of different venues
