A gloriously sunny autumn wedding at Mythe Barns, Leicestershire
The first time I met Karly & Ian it was at their wedding venue, Mythe Barn in Leicetershire
I always try to meet up with couples about 5 or 6 weeks before their wedding day to run through the timings of the day and have a look around the venue if it's somewhere I've not worked before. All the arrangements for their booking with me had been done via email so it was also our first chance to meet
From chatting to them it soon became clear that there were going to be lots of little personal touches to their day. Like wedding breakfast tables names after their favourite film and favours from the Irish distillery in Ian's home town. They also had an unconventional choice of music for the recessional, REMs 'It's the End of the World as We Know it'! But the key lyric being that it continues with 'and I feel fine'!!
Their wedding day dawned bright and sunny, perfect for an autumn wedding and Mythe Barn is a great venue. With a dressing room for the bride and the old milking parlour converted into bedrooms there's room for everyone.
The Bride & Groom have two little girls so there were also two gorgeous flower-girls to add to precedings even if they did have to go for a nap in the afternoon!!
Karly & Ian were really keen to have a sunset stroll and the weather gods looked down kindly on them. A fab end to a fab day
Sunlight comes creeping in, Illuminates our skin, We watch the day go by
