Documentary Wedding Photographer
Hello. Thanks for stopping by
Some people call it wedding reportage, others say wedding photo-journalism, I prefer to call it documentary wedding photography.
It's all about capturing the emotion of your day through real moments which together, tell the story of your wedding
So many of the couples that book me say
'We hate having our photograph taken'
But then afterwards they say
'It was great, we hardly knew you were there!'
I try to be unobtrusive, to not interfere in the day. Weddings are full of so many wonderful moments just waiting to be captured, if you take the time to observe
Weddings tend to be one of the few occassions when you have so many of your friends and family all together. So I normally expect there to be a few family formal shots
It's also lovely to plan time in the day for just the two of you away from your guests. This gives a wonderful opportunity for photographs of you enjoying time together as newlyweds, lost in your own little world for a few minutes
But the rest of the day I'm acting as a record keeper, to document and tell the story of your day, moment by moment. Capturing all the excitement, the joy and the emotion if your wedding day.
I've photographed weddings in Birmingham, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Devon, Yorkshire, Lancashire and even in Rutland, the smallest county in the country!
This year I'll be going even further afield - have camera, will travel!!
Unposed | Candid | Natural
Before you go any further, why not grab a cuppa, sit back, turn up the volume and watch this look back at some of my favourites from 2018
